Happy Anniversary To Me

A year ago, I started this blog.  When I looked back at those initial entries not too long ago, I realized that they sounded stilted--the tone was just off.  I'm still finding my way, but I wanted to say "thanks!" to all those who have read and commented on this blog over the last year.

And as a token of my thanks, I will be giving away this:

Photo courtesy of the Williams-Sonoma website.

This started as an Italian food blog and still has that bent, so it seems only right to give away a gorgeous bottle of extra-virgin olive oil from Williams-Sonoma.  On a separate note, thank goodness I do not live anywhere near a Williams-Sonoma, because I would be in there every week.

To enter, please sign up to follow this blog with Google Friend Connect if you don't already, and leave a comment letting me know that you have.  If you're already following me, you can let me know that too.

Since my blog lives in a cave and doesn't have a Twitter feed or Facebook page, if you can't sign up to follow let me know what Italian recipe you'd like to see me tackle next.

I will select a comment at random this Sunday at 6 p.m. Alaska Standard Time, and this gorgeous bottle of oil will be shipped to you!

Thank you again for a great year.  Back tomorrow with a recipe for Alaskan king crab dip perfect for your summer parties.

  1. Congrats on your anniversary! I followed you on Google connect :) AND I made those brownies, expect with cherry jam, and hazelnuts, and hazelnut flour (so they probably were quite different)but they were AWESOME! I only have 1 left and I'm trying to make it last :)

  6. Happy Blog Anniversary! Blogging is a wonderful adventure, isn't it? I am one of your followers, and have been enjoying your recipes. I love everything Williams Sonoma but the really dangerous place is their outlet--there is one about 75 miles from where I live, so I don't visit often, but I get nice bargains when I do! :)

    1. A W-S outlet? I didn't know there was such a thing! That would be dangerous.

  8. Happy 1st Anniversary! I am amazed everyday with the people I meet virtually, and the creativity and passion for food. Blogging is a journey and it evolves along with you.

It is a good thing that Willams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel are no where near me....I am not sure I could contain myself.

I am already a follower :-) When you get your facebook page and your twitter feed, I will be there too.

    Cheers.

  11. Happy Bloggyversary!!!! I agree, I won't want to live near a Williams-Sonoma either! I'd probably need a separate bank account just for them and it'll forever be empty! Looking forward to many more years!

  15. Congrats on a terrific first year. It's so exciting for me to have a blogging friend all the way over in Alaska. I love the look of this olive oil but I can't subscribe via google because I'm on wordpress and there seems to be an issue with it. I can tell you what Italian recipe I'd like you to cook next and that would be an Italian dessert - anything other than tiramisu will do. xx

  26. Happy Anniversary!
p.s Olive Herb is a cold hardy, perennial, woody, and the bright green leaves that have an intense olive aroma. It adds an interesting, alternative flavour to salads and is a tasty addition to Mediterranean meals, especially when you don’t have any fresh olives to hand.

    1. Angie, thanks for the information on olive herb. I'll keep an eye out for it the next time I travel to Mediterranean specialty stores outside Alaska.
